Despite some frustrations Paris did the job against Dijon and is now second of the French Ligue 1. Here are the TOPS and FLOPS of the night.

GOALS:

Dijon: Tavares (31)

Paris-Saint-Germain: Lucas Moura (29), Thiago Silva (81), Edinson Cavani (84)

TOPS:

As cunning as the Fox, captain Silva scored a vital goal at the 81′ after a good save from Dijon’s goalkeeper Reynet. His third goal this season in Ligue 1.

It was not the best Edi’s night but Cavani managed to score, again, his 22nd goal of the season at the 84′ (his most prolific with Paris so far) thanks to a smart reflex (pigeon’s wing for the pros).

The fresh Draxla just arrived in Paris but appears to be the key man of the team. Mobile and always there to provide a solution to his partners, the German winger could be the player of 2017.

What a pleasure to see Ben Arfa getting back in shape: 1 key pass, 2 good crosses, 2 successful dribbles and one shot on target.

The young Guedes, involved on Cavani’s goal, is really showing some good hopes for the team, splashing us with interesting move (1 key pass, 1 cross and 87% pass accuracy).

FLOPS:

This first half full of “nonchalence” will certainly not be remembered but showed where the team needs to work. Too many lost balls especially from Motta, Kurzawa and Rabiot and a lack of concentration, after Lucas goal, could have been costly for this PSG.

Areola had no chance when Tavares scored but we can still notice that the only shot on target for Dijon at the 31′ is a goal tonight. Don’t give up Alphonse!

What a lack of aggressivity from Thiago Silva when Lees-Melou ran down to him at the 31′. He totally failed to stop his opponent but how to do it when you run backward and don’t close any space? Second time in raw (same mistake against Monaco last week end) for O Monstro.

Matuidi got chances to score but did not, we are still hoping to see Soldier Blaise back to his best shape SOON !

Fragile Rabiot tonight, you need to level up your game boy!
Paris is still looking for his game, they are not as frightening as last year but we can see the group working well together. We hope they will be ready and more passionate against Barcelona..
